A YOUNG Farmers Club says it is a “great honour” to be named the National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs (NFYFC) Club of the Month.

Llidiartywaen YFC has been praised for promoting its regular club activities from car treasure hunts to concerts for the local community.

NFYFC said: “Congratulations to our Club of the Month Llidiartywaen – a hard working bunch who are great at promoting themselves and involving their junior members!

“This club knows how to promote its great work – and the club is always seconds away from making a post on social media about their activities. Llidiartywaen YFC know how to keep things interesting. We’re amazed by all you have achieved. It’s why Llidiartywaen YFC is our Club of the Month for February!”

Kelly Chapman, chair of the 25-member club, said: “The club is extremely proud to receive the award. It’s a great honour and very rewarding for all those who put so much into running and supporting the club.”

She added: “YFC as a whole is a great organisation which contributes so much to our community. We are delighted it is receiving the recognition it deserves.”

Elen Jarman, Llidiartywaen YFC member, added: “So proud to be publicity officer and vice chair of this fantastic, small but mighty club!”

The club will be performing at a concert – ‘Commotion in the Ocean’ – at Llanidloes Community Centre on Friday, March 15. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

If you are aged 10 to 26 and would like to join the club, then come along to Llidiartywaen School on Mondays at 7.30pm.
