A man has pleaded guilty to setting a hotel on fire, killing a guest.
Damion Harris, 31, started the blaze at the Ty Belgrave House in Aberystwyth, West Wales, which killed Juozas Tunaitis and injured Richard Simnett on July 25 last year.
Harris pleaded guilty to manslaughter, arson and inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent at Swansea Crown Court.
He was originally charged with the murder of Mr Tunaitis, but offered guilty pleas including to the alternative charge of manslaughter on the day of his trial.
Prosecutor Michael Jones said: "Those pleas are acceptable to the Crown."
Harris, from Llanbadarn, Aberystwyth, was remanded in custody and Judge Paul Thomas adjourned proceedings until Tuesday.
