Organisers of Builth Wells Carnival are searching for their carnival king and queen.
This year’s carnival will take place on Saturday, June 15.
Contenders for the crown and their attendants will need to be in Year 2 or above with the deadline for entries due on Friday, March 8.
Forms can be picked up from the receptions at Builth Wells Primary School and Ysgol Calon Cymru.
The names for the positions of queen, king and attendants will be drawn and the successful candidates notified by Friday, March 15.
Last year, Ceiran Prynne was crowned the town’s first ever Carnival King by the Mayor of Builth Wells, and Lola Price, was crowned the Carnival Queen by the previous year’s Queen, Lucy Ballard.
Organisers say they are looking for local businesses to sponsor competitions such as best floats and craft competitions. They are also putting together their official programme and are asking businesses who would like to place an advert to contact them by Friday, March 8.
Anyone interested should get in touch by telephoning Lia Price, correspondence secretary, on 01982 551154.
