Newtown’s air cadets mission to raise money for a new minibus has been given a boost after a local firm chipped in with a donation.
Newtown based Nidec Control Techniques handed over a cheque to the 2416 Newtown Squadron Air Training Corps, who have raised over £14,000 over the past two years towards their total.
A spokesperson for the company said: “Control Techniques are proud to support 2416 Newtown Squadron Air Training Corps in their fundraising efforts for a Squadron minibus.
“Through hard work and determination over the past 2 years they have raised £14,000. Air Cadets learn many invaluable skills to help in civilian and military life.
“Keep up the good work, 2416!”
