Police have appealed for witnesses following a two-car crash near Caersws which claimed the life of a 75-year-old man.

A statement from Dyfed Powys police released today say they want to speak to anyone who saw a Vauxhall Astra or a Volkswagen Passat driving along the B4568 Aberhafesp to Llanwnog road on the afternoon of Tuesday, February 12.

The full statement from police says: "Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for witnesses to a two-vehicle collision near Caersws on Tuesday, following which a man sadly died.

"The collision occurred on the B4568 Aberhafesp to Llanwnog road at the crossroads with the B4569 near to Caersws at around 2.45pm.

"A Vauxhall Astra and a Volkswagen Passat were involved.

"Sadly, a 75-year-old man died the following day.

"Anyone who saw the two cars driving along this road at around 2.45pm, or who witnessed the collision, is asked to contact Pc1169 Mark White at Newtown Police station."
