Future reporters Harvey, Year 6 and Evan, Year 4, put this report together for the County Times.

FORDEN School had a visitor on Friday, February 8, for Welsh Music Day. They were visited by Ailsa Hughes who is a string player.

They did this because the Criw Cymraeg are trying to achieve the silver award and having Welsh themed afternoons is one thing they need to do.

Ailsa is part of a group called Tinc Y Tannau.

She has released around 11 CDs and she is on Spotify. This talented lady played the bass Viola De Gamba for the children.

She gets her inspiration from nature.

This all happened with the help of Menter Maldwyn.

As well as listening to her amazing songs children identified different types of music and sang Welsh songs.

The children said that next time Welsh Music Day will be even bigger and better.
