Plans have been submitted to build Radnorshire’s first drive-thru lane at one of the A470’s most-recognised food stops.
Burger King, formerly Little Chef, could soon see a new development built on Station Road, Llanelwedd, if plans are approved by Powys County Council.
The proposal involves work to the existing car park to create a drive-thru lane and a small single storey extension for a payment and collection kiosk.
The application, submitted by EuroGarages, states that the proposed development would not result in a loss of parking spaces. The site will include a new electric vehicle charging point as well as the 23 spaces and two disabled parking bays.
But planning agent Alistair Flatman says the flood risk on the proposed development is “very minor in nature” and will not increase the risk of flooding elsewhere.
The proposal will not result in any loss of parking spaces on site but will facilitate the formal marking out of spaces.
