THE staff and children at the Little Acorns nursery in Crossgates have celebrated receiving a ‘good’ rating in their latest Estyn report, which was released on Friday, January 25.
Kat Ingram, secretary and trustee, said she was “thrilled” with the judgement and that the committee is proud of the staff and children for all their hard work and efforts.
“We have worked hard over recent years and months to build a fantastic childcare and education setting,” she said.
Reasons for Little Acorns receiving a ‘good’ rating include:
Children enjoying their learning and making good progress.
Most children communicating effectively with one another.
Many children developing good early literacy skills.
Close working relationships between practitioners and children.
Practitioners collaborating effectively to plan stimulating learning experiences that engage and challenge children well.
