A GROUP of men have been arrested by police following an incident near a Powys secondary school.
Dyfed-Powys Police said it had received a report of "males" walking on land near the grounds of Crickhowell High School, carrying "possibly a weapon".
Schoolchildren were kept indoors "for a time for their safety" at around 2.05pm on Friday, January 25.
Police are continuing to search for evidence in the area following the incident.
A Dyfed-Powys Police spokeswoman said: "Police attended and detained the three males who are currently helping police with their enquiries.
"The local Neighbourhood Police Team have remained in the area and are available to speak to any concerned members of the community.
"A police presence will continue to be in the area whilst they conclude searching for any possible evidence."
