Police have urged people to be careful about who they give their card details following a series of scam phone calls.
Dyfed-Powys Police say there had been a number of phone calls to people in the Knighton and Presteigne area claiming to be police officers in London reporting card fraud.
Such calls are a scam and the advice is to immediately hang up if a phone call is received one and report it to Action Fraud by calling 0300 123 2040.
It follows a warning issued by Dyfed-Powys Police about an automated phone call scam claiming to be from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC).
