DYFED-Powys Police have charged a man with robbery following an incident in Welshpool during the early hours of Sunday.
A police spokesperson said: "The force was made aware of a robbery in the alleyway behind Iceland, in Welshpool, at around 3.40am on Sunday, January 13.
"The victim – a 21-year-old man – required hospital treatment for significant injuries.
"Personal property was stolen from the victim during the incident.
"Three men from Welshpool were arrested in connection with the incident.
"One man has been charged with robbery, as well as assault by beating in connection with a separate incident, and has been conveyed to Welshpool Magistrates’ Court.
"Two men – aged 22 and 24 – were arrested on suspicion of robbery and have been released on bail."
