The full final plans for a new-look Wyeside Arts Centre will be presented to the public at an open evening on Monday in Builth Wells.

London architects De Matos Ryan revealed drawings of the revamped 1877 Grade II-listed building earlier this month.

The plans include adding a cinema studio, a new stair and lift core, expanding the catering and bar facilities, and creating a ‘new gathering place’ above the market theatre.

It is not yet known when the renovation will be carried out. The Wyeside Works Steering Group is currently fundraising for the next stage of development.

The project is backed by the Arts Council of Wales and the Welsh Government Rural Development Programme 2014–2020.

See the plans at the arts centre on Monday, January 14, at 7pm.
