SENIOR citizens enjoyed a luncheon club's seasonal event.
The monthly luncheon club in Llanfyllin met for Christmas lunch at the Cain Valley Hotel
Ann Williams set up the luncheon club when she was mayor and it has proved a great success with senior citizens in the town and surrounding area.
Current mayor, Councillor Simon Baynes, said: "I was honoured to attend the Christmas Lunch along with the deputy mayor Cllr Tracey Windsor and Cllrs Jane Carrington and Peter Lewis. A very big thank you to Ann Williams for not only organising the Christmas lunch but also making a gift for each person attending of four jars of jams and chutneys. What a wonderful Christmas present!"
Ann Williams said: "Delicious food was served and very enjoyable music provided by Pauline Page-Jones at the keyboard and Alwyn Williams leading the carol singing. I am very grateful to everyone who attended last week and to all those who support the club throughout the year. We are much looking forward to our monthly lunches in 2019 and please feel free to contact me on 07582 236 165 if you would like to join us next year."
