Two lorries were involved in a crash on a bridge near Trewern on Tuesday evening.
The drivers received injuries which are thought to be minor following the crash at Cefn Bridge.
A damaged Severn Trent Water tanker was hanging over the edge of the bridge, held back by the crash barriers.
Trains between Welshpool and Shrewsbury were also cancelled.

The A458 road was closed for several hours while the heavy goods vehicles were recovered. It has since reopened with temporary traffic signals which will be in place for a “considerable” period of time, Traffic Wales said.
Dyfed-Powys Police said it was alerted to the collision involving two articulated lorries shortly after 6pm on December 18.
The notoriously narrow bridge was described by Cllr Amanda Jenner, County Councillor for Trewern, on Twitter as: “Such a dangerous part of the road!”
