A BUILDING on Station Crescent, in Llandrindod Wells, home to newsagents KDM Local and bookmakers S P Racing, is up for sale.
Strand House, which currently has a guide price of £99,000, is being auctioned off by Steel & Co in Cardiff next Thursday, December 11.
The newsagents and bookmakers currently pay rent to trade from the property: KDM Local paying £600 a month and S P Racing paying £550 a month.
The property also includes an eight bedroom apartment which is located above the two shops. The auctioneers suggest that this could be split into two or three separate apartments.
KDM Local revealed that it would be bidding for the property on a Facebook post, informing its customers of the sale.
The status, posted on Thursday, November 29, said: “You may have noticed a film crew in town today at, and around the shop, as well as ‘for sale’ signs going up around the building we trade from, Strand House.
“Whilst the building is going on the market, none of the businesses trading within will be effected by this.
“As a side note: KDM Local have made a very fair offer on the building, so hopefully this building will remain in local ownership.
“We thank you for your trade, at both shops, every day. Without your loyalty this wouldn’t be possible.
“Fingers crossed.”
