Firefighters from four stations in Powys were called to a property fire in Welshpool at just after 1am this morning.

Fire crews from Welshpool, Montgomery, Llanfair Caereinion and Newtown attended the fire on Broad Street at 1.05am on Wednesday, December 5.

The fire was located on the ground floor level of a three-storey building which is used by estate agents Harry Ray & Company as well as a domestic flat. The whole of the property was affected by smoke.

Firefighters extinguished the fire using a six-breathing apparatus, two main jets, two hose reel jets, a seven-meter ladder and a roof ladder.

The Fire Service left the incident at 03:44am.
