A man was arrested in Welshpool by police for making threats to kill on Tuesday morning.
Dyfed-Powys Police officers and an Armed Response Vehicle were called to the incident at Foundry Lane shortly after 7.30am on December 4 folowing reports of a 35-year-old man making threats over the phone.
A 'full firearms authority' was issued but the man confronted police officers before an Armed Response Vehicle arrived.
Police arrested the 35-year-old man and he remains in custody.
