As an on-going rolling stock shortage continues to affect Welsh rail services, here are the cancellations and service alterations we know of affecting services on Thursday.
Cambrian Line
- 05:07 Machynlleth to Barmouth will no longer call at Dovey Junction. Replacement road transport will be provided between Machynlleth and Barmouth.
- 05:45 Machynlleth to Aberystwyth due 06:17 will be cancelled.
- 06:25 Shrewsbury to Aberystwyth due 08:20. Replacement road transport will be provided between Shrewsbury and Aberystwyth (timetable).
- 06:30 Aberystwyth to Shrewsbury due 08:14. Replacement road transport will be provided between Aberystwyth and Shrewsbury (timetable).
- 06:45 Barmouth to Machynlleth due 07:43 will no longer call at Dovey Junction. Replacement road transport will be provided between Barmouth and Machynlleth.
- 08:30 Aberystwyth to Birmingham International due 11:49 will be started from Shrewsbury. Replacement road transport will be provided between Aberystwyth and Shrewsbury (timetable).
- 10:29 Shrewsbury to Aberystwyth due 12:20. Replacement road transport will be provided between Shrewsbury and Aberystwyth (timetable).
- 12:30 Aberystwyth to Birmingham International will be started from Shrewsbury. Replacement road transport will be provided between Aberystwyth and Shrewsbury (timetable).
Heart of Wales Line
- 04:53 Carmarthen - Llandovery will be cancelled. Replacement road transport will run in lieu of cancelled trains.
- 06:44 Llandovery - Swansea will be cancelled. Replacement road transport will run in lieu of cancelled trains (timetable).
A statement from Transport for Wales said:
"We apologise for the current changes to timetabled services and the decreased capacity of our trains. We are doing everything possible to improve this regrettable situation.
"Due to continuing problems resulting from storm Callum and damage to wheels caused by seasonal conditions, more trains than usual are currently undergoing repair at Transport for Wales depots.
"Transport for Wales are sorry for the inconvenience this will cause and assure customers we are working hard to resolve this unprecedented challenge."
