FIRE crews attended a 40 square metres gorse and bracken fire believed to have been started deliberately, at Waunfawr.
A North Wales Fire and Rescue Service appliance from Caernarfon attended the blaze on land at Cefn Du, after being called outon Monday, at 8.37pm. The crew put out the fire by 9.38pm.
A fire service spokesperson said: "One crew from Caernarfon was called out at 20.37pm to tackle a fire affecting gorse and bracken at Cefn Du, at Waunfawr.
"Firefighters used one hose reel and three beaters to extinguish the fire. The fire is thought to have been started deliberately."
North Wales Police spokesperson said: "We were notified for information by the fire service at 21.37pm that they were attending a deliberate fire on land at Cefn Du."
