GUITAR players, amateur and professional, will play alongside each other at a special concert raising cash to help people with cancer.

Audience members are being encouraged to tune up and join in during a musical Evening of Guitar, being held by the North Wales Guitar Circle - Cylch Gitar Gogledd Cymru - to raise funds for Ysbyty Gwynedd's Alaw Ward, in Bangor.

The concert, is being held at 7.45pm, at the Farrar Suite, of the Bangor City Football Club, on Tuesday, December 7.

Audience members are invited to bring along their own guitars and there will be an opportunity to play during the interval and to join in with a rendition of Silent Night at the end of the evening.

The NWGC/CGGC is currently celebrating its 13th year.

Organiser Jane Sinnett said: "There will players of various standards, from amateur to professional, who will be giving their time free of charge to perform to raise money for Bangor's Alaw cancer ward, a very worthwhile cause for our annual concert to raise money for.

"There will be a wide variety of music styles everything from Spanish to classical composers right through to Queen, so there should be something to suit all tastes."

The Farrar Suite has a licensed bar and a large function room. Entry to the concert is free, but donations, large or small, are welcome. During the evening there will be cake, raffle and other refreshments donated by Terri Errico. This year's fundraising event is supported by NWGC/CGGC and management at The Farrar Suite, BCFC

The group is also hoping to attract new members. If you have an interest in the guitar, whether it is listening, learning or you already play, the group would like to hear from you.
