Champions made at Anglesey Winter Show - see full results

Despite Saturday’s downpours, at their worst mid-morning, the 26th annual event, organised by the Anglesey Agricultural Society, still attracted a crowd to the Mona Showground.

The show, presided over by Geraint W Roberts, boasted a variety of events from livestock contests, including lamb carcass, to competitions such as giant produce, best eggs, hand made crafts, and cookery entries, including classes for novelty Christmas cakes and pizzas, as well displays of agricultural equipment and information.

Saturday’s activities saw Young Farmers showing off sheep trimming skills, and there were champions made in the ring to enthusiastic claps and cheers.

On Sunday, the horse events took place and a minute’s silence was also held to observe Remembrance Day.

Aled Hughes show secretary said: “The rain was a bit disappointing but it has still been a good show with high standards of entries.”
