The North and Mid Wales Trunk Road Agency, which carries out repairs to main roads on behalf of the Welsh Government, said a large tree trunk had become entangled on the Dyfi Bridge as a result of recent floods.
It was removed by a specialist diving team and a crane after the closure to the A487 between Machynlleth and Corris which occurred between 9am and midday, today.
🚧 Works are underway to remove the tree from the river that is caught on the bridge following a storm on the #A487 Dyfi Bridge.
