THE Beaumaris lifeboat crew were called out after reports of two people waist deep in the water and cut off by the tide at Abergwyngregyn on Monday.
A training exercise in preparation for crew assessments had to be interrupted, at 7.10pm, when the UK Coastguard requested the lifeboat assist the Bangor Mobile Coastguard Rescue Team.
The Beaumaris lifeboat Annette Mary Liddington was immediately diverted to the Abergwyngregyn area. However, whilst in transit, the lifeboat crew was advised that her services were not required and the incident had been resolved.
Leaving the Bangor Mobile Coastguard Team to follow up on the report the lifeboat crew continued with their exercise before returning to station later in the evening.
