A woman has been taken to hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries following a road traffic collision near Llandrinio Bridge on Sunday evening.

The casualty had to be cut from her black Citroen DS3 by fire crews from Welshpool and Llanfyllin and was taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital by ambulance.

Emergency services were called to reports of a crash involving one vehicle on the B4393 between Crew Green and Llandrinio at 8pm.

The road re-opened at 2am on Monday, October 29.

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokeswoman said: "Police, fire and ambulance attended the one vehicle collision.
The female driver was freed from the black Citroen DS3 and was conveyed to hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries.
Road closures were in place as the scene was examined and then cleaned.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said:  “We responded with two Emergency Ambulances and one patient was transported to the Royal Hospital Shrewsbury.”

A spokesperson for Mid anbd West Wales Fire and Rescue Srvice said: "Upon attendance crews were faced with a single vehicle Road Traffic Collision.  Crews used Edraulic cutting equipment to release on casualty from the vehicle who was conveyed to hospital via road ambulance."
