POLICE have named the three-year-old child from Powys who was killed in a collision with a vehicle.
A Dyfed Powys Police police statement read: "It’s with great sadness we confirm the child who died suddenly near Llanybydder is three-year-old Evan Lloyd Williams.
"The family does not wish to comment but has asked to be left to grieve in peace. Please respect their wishes."
Police had earlier confirmed they are investigating the death of the child who was killed after a collision with a vehicle.
Officers say they were called to the incident at 4.25pm on Sunday at a private property near Llanybydder.
The coroner and the health and safety executive have been informed.
"Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating the sudden death of a three-year-old child.
"At approximately 4.25pm on Sunday, October 21 2018, police received a report of a collision involving a child and a vehicle at a private property near Llanybydder. Tragically, the child died at the scene.
"Our thoughts are with the family, who are being supported by specially trained officers. Enquiries are ongoing. HM Coroner and the Health and Safety Executive are aware."
