Welshpool's preparations are well underway for the Great British High Street Awards judges visit next week.
Shops and businesses have been decorated with Welsh flag decorations and bunting for the big day on Tuesday, October 23.
In September, the town was selected as a finalist in the Great British High Streets Awards, a contest that celebrates the UK's best high streets.
This year there are 38 finalists and Welshpool is in the top four in Wales along with Crickhowell, Carmarthen and Holywell.
Welshpool Town Council are urging all shops and businesses to get involved in a window competition celebrating anything Welsh with the theme of 'All Things Cymru'.
Robert Robinson, town clerk, said: "We as a town have been very lucky to have received this opportunity, but it wouldn't have been possible without the efforts of all businesses on our wonderful high street.
"It would be brilliant to see everyone getting involved."
A promotional van will be based outside the former Pinewood Cafe giving out free merchandise and information encouraging people to vote for Welshpool.
