MONDAY

RESEARCH your family tree at Milford Haven Library, Mondays from 10am until 2.15pm.

FOLLOWING a successful taster event at Hubberston and Hakin community centre, short mat bowls sessions will now take place every Monday evening at 7pm.

These will continue until regular weekly sessions will be available to both groups and individuals wishing to take up this popular sport.

In the meantime the centre now provides a number of activities including yoga, pilates, tai chi, table tennis and much more.

THE Mount Community Centre is open every Tuesday from 1pm, where anyone can pop along for a cuppa and a chat.

WEDNESDAY

THE VC Gallery in Pembroke Dock has been invited to help a local church by painting 98 candles for their remembrance service. Each candle is to be painted with a poppy image and will have the name of one of the 98 soldiers from the remembrance list added below the image.

You will learn how to mix paint that will be suitable to paint onto wax candles.

You will also be shown how to paint poppies in small detail.

These candles will then be donated to the VC Gallery for its Armistice exhibition.

£2 per person, refreshments included.

INVEST Local Community Forum is holding its annual general meeting at 6.30 pm on Wednesday, October 10, at Hubberston and Hakin Community Centre.

The meeting will be followed by an open community event at 7pm.
