A SPECIAL 'Banger Racing' event featuring rugby legend Rupert Moon has raised more than £2,000 for the charity Welsh Hearts.
The former Wales international said that he’d never been so nervous when he took to the wheel on August 11 at Border Racing in Criggion.
He said: “I’ve played in front of thousands of people but never felt as nervous as this, it was something new for me and I didn’t come last!
“I was delighted to be able to support this wonderful charity.”
Welsh Hearts, the heart charity for Wales is delighted with the donation and this money will be used to further reduce sudden death in the North Wales area by providing free CPR training to members of the public and helping provide more public accessible defibrillators.
