NEWTOWN Musical Theatre Company (NMTC) is currently well into its rehearsals for the next production – Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ which will be performed at The Hafren from October 17 to 20.
Two well-known actors who have played the part of Joseph in the past have given their support to the forthcoming production by ‘tweeting’ the company.
The most famous Joseph, Jason Donovan, who famously played the part of Joseph in the early 1990s, and who was performing on stage with Kylie Minogue in Hyde Park last weekend, said on Twitter: “Good Luck guys wishing you all the best Xxx”
Lee Mead, who played Joseph in the 2007 West End revival of the show, having won the BBC series Any Dream Will Do said: “Have a wonderful show Guys Break a leg! Xx”
Chloe Collins, NMTC’s Twitter Editor, was delighted to get this feedback.
She said “I am absolutely loving being in charge of NMTC’s twitter and hearing back from past Joseph’s from the west end and touring productions wishing us all the best with the upcoming show of ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’.”
‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ will be performed at The Hafren, Newtown from October 17 to 20 with performances at 7.30pm each evening, and a matinee at 2.30pm on Saturday the 20th.
