ANDREW Logan’s infamous annual Berriew Jewellery Show Extravaganza returns to his Museum of Sculpture as part of the Grand Re-opening from 6pm this bank holiday Sunday, August 26.

Each year on the bank holiday Sunday at 6pm, the Museum ceremoniously re-opens its doors, remembering the first time it did so in 1991.

The Jewellery Shows, part of this annual celebration, are key to the international artist’s portfolio of work, have inspired Andrew’s Comme des Garcons catwalk shows and have been performed in Azerbaijan, Latvia, Russia, Liverpool and Berriew.

Volunteer models, led by the wonderous Andy D (creator of the music for Andrew’s Alternative Miss Worlds and these annual Extravaganzas), dance interpretively to Andy’s specially created music adorned in Andrew’s jewellery, all building to an unforgettable glorious crescendo, with guaranteed smiles.

Make-up this year is by artist Rosie Hammick, who works with make-up and costume bringing nature and psychedelia together to create a hyper reality.

Jewellery Show tickets are £6 which includes a drink. Advance tickets can be bought from the Andrew Logan website (http://andrew-logan.myshopify.com/collections/tickets-for-events), or in person at either the Museum or R H Bunners on Arthur Street in Montgomery.

The museum is open 12 – 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays throughout August and September and by arrangement. Entry is £3 (concs £1.50). Family tickets £8. For more information contact the Museum direct on 01686 640689 / 07813 885906 or almos@andrewloganmuseum.org.
