The One Show is filming in Welshpool this evening as the town has been put forward for the Great British High Street Awards.
The filming will take place at the entrance to Welshpool Town Hall between 7pm and 7.15pm and will go out live on BBC One.
The event is crowd orientated and everyone is welcome to come along. The Mayor, Councillor Stephen Kaye will be in attendance, as well as Town Clerk Robert Robinson, who has been encouraging people to come along.
Mr Robinson said: "No doubt you will come if you can. Let us support our traders and put on a good show."
The Great British High Street Awards is a competition set up by the government with the aim to recognise and celebrate local achievements on high streets and supporting the communities they serve.
The awards are run by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, and the winner will receive a cash prize of £25,000 as well as dedicated support and mentoring from industry experts.
