The circus came to town as clown acts brightened up the day at the Builth Fest Carnival.
People of all ages joined in the summer extravaganza at the Groe on Saturday, June 16 after a fun packed week of events.

Builth Wells Rotary Club was awarded the overall shield by the High Sheriff of Powys, Councillor David Price and his wife Elaine for their ‘Greatest Show in Builth’ float.
The fancy dress entrants were judged by the Builth Wells Mayor, Paul McNiffe, accompanied by Town Councillor Meryl Prynne.

This year was the first time ever that Builth Fest Carnival has crowned a King, as well as a Carnival Queen.

The committee hope the introduction of a King will encourage boys to apply next year.
Rachael Hughes, chairperson of Builth Fest Carnival said: “It was another successful day and we were overwhelmed with the support and effort put in by everyone despite the weather conditions.
You could have had spots before your eyes if you met this trio at Builth Wells Carnival. They were Scott Evans, Marie Beehan and Ewan Jones with their brightly coloured outfits. (Picture: Ernie Husson)
“As we are a relatively small committee, we are very grateful for the support from people helping to organise our events and giving time on carnival day, and to every person that puts money in our buckets or buys a raffle ticket.
“We have to raise at least £8,000 every year to hold our carnival day and its week of events. We would be grateful for the continued support at our annual duck race that will be held on August Bank Holiday.”
