A scheme to improve facilities at a Llanymynech school is due to go before the council's planning committee this week.

The plans submitted for alterations to Carreghofa School include an extension to provide staff room, head teachers office, a new lobby and an office as well as improved access to the building via a ramp.

The existing head teacher’s office and neighbouring office will form the staff room, and the other rooms will be formed in the extension. The area of the extension extends to approximately 38m2.

In their report to the committee, the council's planning offers said the proposal complied with planning policy and they recommended it for conditional consent.

The plans will go before the council's Planning, Taxi Licensing and Rights of Way Committee on Thursday, June 14.
