A feast for all the senses returned to Whitchurch over the weekend as it hosted the annual Food and Drink Festival.

Even the sun put in an appearance as residents and visitors took in the sights, smells and tasty treats that were on offer thanks to the host of vendors in attendance at the extravaganza.

They ensured there was something for everyone - from popular gins to mouthwatering cakes and breads.

Celebrity chef Rosemary Shrager also made her return to the festival stage following an appearance in 2016.

This year she was on hand to give some demonstrations in the brand new cookery theatre, as well as taking on the hard task of judging the Whitchurch Cake-Off competition which was won by Sapna Kumar.

The free event - which this year marked its fifth anniversary - also featured live music acts across the two days, plus an artisan craft market on the High Street.

And not forgetting the big national event of the day which allowed visitors to watch Prince Harry marry American actress Meghan Markle at Windsor Castle courtesy of a big screen.
