THREE internationally-renowned classical singers will perform at a special charity concert in Llanfair Caereinion this Saturday.
The Three Welsh Tenors – Llanbrynmair tenor and farmer Aled Wyn Davies, Rhys Meirion and Aled Hall – have international reputations, for their musical skills and presentation. Well-known compere Glyn Owens will ensure that the evening is a delight.
The evening of musical talent is in aid of the Lingen Davies Cancer Fund’s 40th Anniversary Ruby Appeal and the money raised will go towards funding vital equipment to detect cancers, improve services and make a difference to many people’s lives affected by cancer in Mid Wales, Shropshire and the Wrekin.
The charity is especially important to event organiser Doreen Owen, from Tregynon. Her husband, Des, was diagnosed with prostate cancer in July 2016 and he’s making a good recovery thanks to the care and support provided by the Lingen Davies Cancer Fund.
The Welsh Three Tenors will sing at Llanfair Caereinion Leisure Centre at 7.30pm. Tickets at £15 are still available from Doreen on 01686 650291 or Bethan on 07971 466098.
