Two hairy men braved the shave to raise money for the Brain Tumour Society at The Lion Hotel in Llandinam.
Anthony Bates and Michael 'Bomber' Thomas stood up to to the challenge which was dedicated to the late Charlie Lloyd and Veronica Bates.
Both men had grown their hair and beards since November for the event which also hosted a raffle and auction with Brecon band 'The Universal Translators' performing.
Local hairdresser and pageant queen Beverley Roberts was there to shave the beards on April 1.
The amount raised from the event was an incredible £7,200.
Nick Davies, owner of The Lion, said: "It was a great event which brought the community together in a show of respect, friendship and fun. It only started as a small event and it escalated into a big fundraiser.
"So many people generously donated prizes for a good cause, which goes to show the community spirit in Llandinam."
