Three friends are embarking on a 186 mile walk to raise money for a new bereavement suite at Hereford Hospital.

Richard Morgan, Michael Ward and Rory Evans from Builth Wells will begin the eight day trek on Friday, March 23, starting from Llandudno and ending in Cardiff Bay.

The trio aim to raise £5,000 for the ‘Born Sleeping Appeal’ through the Powys branch of Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity. The money raised will help fund a suite to give bereaved parents and their families a private sanctuary to use as they come to terms with the loss of their baby.

It will have an en-suite family room to allow partners to stay overnight and other family members to visit in a private setting, and a counselling room.
