POLICE have dropped and investigation into reports of a sexual assault at Dolerw Park in Newtown.
This afternoon, Dyfed-Powys Police, confirmed that they are no longer investigating the report.
Dolerw Park was closed for most of Saturday, February 24. after reports that a woman was attacked in the park at around 1am.
A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police, said: “We can confirm that an investigation into a report of a sexual assault at Dolerw Park, Newtown has now concluded.
"We are no longer investigating the report.
"Dyfed-Powys Police take all reports of sexual assault seriously and would encourage anyone who has experienced sexual abuse to contact police.
"Regardless of whether you choose to report the crime, Goleudy Victim and Witness Service can provide you with further support and assistance. Call 0300 1232996 or email goleudy@dyfed-powys.pnn.police.uk."
