Powys County Council are appealing for information regarding a fly-tipping incident in Leighton.
Between 20-30 sacks of rubbish were dumped near the entrance to a field, just off the B4388 Hope Road heading towards Buttington.
The number of fly-tipping incidents in the county has steadily risen since 2011, with more than 1,000 recorded in each of the last two financial years. Statistics produced by the Welsh Government say nationally the problem costs nearly £2 million each year in clean-up costs.
Anyone with information should contact the council's highways and refuse team in confidence on 01597 827465.
