THE Big Skill weekend is taking place on the weekend of May 11 till May 12 at the National Park Visitor Centre, in the Brecon Beacons.
It will provide a family day out, with a range of rural skills and local craft workshops and demonstrations for visitors to participate in and enjoy.
The aim is to provide a ‘hands on rural skills’ experience; opportunities to register for more in depth and accredited courses.
Art and craft workshops and crafts made from waste by-products.
There will be activities for children and access to the event is free.
For potential providers, the price for a stall is £55, including weekend camping, or £45 with own marquee.

The Big Skill is a social enterprise, set up to preserve rural skills and develop local sales, act as a training, educational and signposting resource; provide demonstrations and hands on rural crafts activities at festivals and events in Mid Wales, borders and Marches.
The Big Skill Festival has previously been held at Penpont Hall and in 2012, organisers took The Big Skill on the road, touring local events including the RWAS Spring Fair, Monmouth Show and the Brecon Fringe Festival.
