WITNESSES are being sought to a stabbing in a Rhayader pub over the Bank Holiday weekend.
The incident occurred at the Black Lion Hotel, on North Street, at around 1.35am on Sunday, May 2.
The victim, a 48-year-old local man, sustained puncture wounds and had to be taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The police have confirmed that another man has now been arrested in connection with the incident.
Sian George, communications officer for Dyfed Powys Police, said: “A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding and was bailed pending further enquiries.
“Anyone who witnessed the assault or has any information regarding the incident are asked to contact police on 101.”
