A HEAVY metal band with members from Denbighshire and Gwynedd have played right across the United Kingdom have qualified for their biggest gig of their career to date.
This Sunday (June 19), I Saw The World Burn will play at the Metal 2 The Masses Grand Final at Grand Central in Manchester.
If the band manage to win, they will get the opportunity play at the mighty Bloodstock Festival in August on the Hobgoblin New Blood Stage and will be playing on the same bill as bands such as Slayer, Anthrax, Mastodon and Diamond Head.
Free Press photographer Don Jackson-Wyatt is the bassist in the band and is excited to play.

The band do have a secret weapon in vocalist Katie Cairns.
Don added: “Seeing her chatting to fans and friends, she really is a friendly and bubbly character, but once on stage her commanding stage presence is enigmatic and her gutteral growls really set her apart from the rest.”
The band are releasing their second EP on August 5 this year and are always looking to build their evergrowing fan base. If you wish to attend the grand final in Manchester, contact the band on facebook as they are taking a minibus from the Denbighshire area.
