Welshpool

WELSHPOOL RAMBLERS: Attracted by the prospect of sights of Lake Vyrnwy in the autumn sunshine, on Sunday, October 28, a group of 17 Welshpool Ramblers set out on a seven mile walk there. They were not disappointed.

After visiting the sculpture park and the dam, led by Vic Smith, the group took forest tracks through the RSPB reserve above the South West bank of the lake, returning by the lakeside road. The return provided magnificent views across the lake to the woods bathed in the light of the sun which by then was low in the West.
