SINFONIA Cymru presents a lively programme of music by Mozart, Bartok and leading Welsh composer Huw Watkins, at The Hafren, Newtown, next Thursday, March 1, at 7.45pm.
The concert features Mozart’s intense and passionate Symphony No. 40 in G minor, and Three Welsh Songs, Huw Watkins’ work inspired by Welsh folk music.
There will also be Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante for Violin and Viola in E-flat major, and Bartok’s Romanian Folk Dances.
The orchestra will be reunited with the masterful and ebullient guest conductor Gábor Takács-Nagy, and outstanding violin soloist Benjamin Baker and viola soloist Timothy Ridout.
