Gwynfryn Evans Oakley, Hodley, Kerry Edith, Judith, Roger, Mark, Peter and their families would like to sincerely thank the many friends and family who came to say a fond farewell to Gwynfryn at Llanidloes Baptist Church on Saturday 22nd February 2020. Thanks to the Rev. Monica O'Dea for conducting such a special service, assisted by Rev. Jenny Garrard and Rev. Gareth Evans (his Brother). Thanks also to Rev. Mary Turnock for the moving tribute and Mr. Aled Wyn Davies for his rousing solo and for leading some truly memorable singing, the organists Mrs. Barbara Powell and Mrs. Corris Evans for playing so beautifully, the bearers(his nephews), those distributing leaflets and everyone that helped with the service in any way. Thanks also to Carol & Trevor "The Sandwich Bar" for providing such wonderful refreshments. Special thanks to Mr Ian Hughes and staff for their compassionate care and guidance whilst making the funeral arrangements. Thanks also to the Doctors and Nurses who cared for Gwynfryn during his short illness, both in hospital and during his time at home. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support and kindness during our sad loss, especially the overwhelming number of cards of condolence and generous donations received in Gwynfryn's memory, Donations totalling over £5,000 have been shared between Mesothelioma Research UK, Wales Air Ambulance & Ward 22RE at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital .
