Margaret Edwina Jones (nee Owen) Further to the report in the County Times (May 29th 2020) Mrs Margaret Edwina Jones (nee Owen) died on May 11th at Ty Pentwyn Nursing Home, Treorchy, Rhondda at the age of 89. Edwina was born in Cwmegan, Trefeglwys, the eldest and longest surviving of five siblings, Gwen, Sybil, Jean and Charles. She married William Stanley Jones in1951 and was widowed in 1974. She is remembered with much love by their three children, Anne, Richard and Elizabeth, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A service was held at her home in the Rhondda followed by a graveside committal service in St. Llonio's churchyard, Llandinam. Both services were led by her son-in-law, Padre Peter King, with a moving tribute from her son Richard and readings from her daughters Anne and Elizabeth and her brother David. Mourners at the graveside included Anne and David Roberts and grandson Ben, Richard Jones, Elizabeth and Peter King, William, Rachel and Edward King and her brother David and sister-in-law Junette. Also attending at a safe distance were close family members, brother-in-law Raymond Pryce, nephew and nieces Jason Pryce, Eryl Williams, Sian Jones, Gail and Keith Matthews and Cora Brown. The bearers were her son Richard and her grandsons Ben, William and Edward. There were family flowers and donations were received for the Royal Osteoporosis Society. Both services were videoed by Zoe Newman and taken back to Canada to be shown to Richard's wife Vicky, four children and five grandchildren. The family of the late Margaret Edwina Jones would like to thank everyone who accorded kindness and sympathy in their recent bereavement and record their gratitude for donations received. The family would also like to thank the Funeral Directors M. Jones & Son, Llanidloes for their services.
