MAX Evans has enjoyed a remarkable start to 2024.
The Llanidloes High School student and Maldwyn Harriers Athletics youngster is celebrating success in both Welsh and English competitions.
Max won the Welsh Indoor Junior Championships’ U17 men’s 200m title with a time of 22.68s at the start of the month.

Max was back in action at the England Indoor Junior Athletics Championships in Sheffield the following week and a new personal best of 22.00s sealed silver in the under 17s category.
Coach Owen Chesher said: “Max’s performances this indoor season have been really strong, building on his 2023 season.
“His times give us some exciting targets for the upcoming outdoor calendar and we look forward to seeing what he can achieve this year.”
Evans is one the current teenage stars at the Newtown based athletics club which regularly produces national competition medal winners and internationals.
