THE future of football in Powys looks bright after two age grade sides won the annual inter-league competition.
The North Powys Junior League representative side took on their counterparts from the South Powys Junior League, Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth Junior League and Cardiganshire Junior League and came out on top in the under 16s and under 14s league.
The under 16s side is coached by Carl Lewis of Caersws while the under 14s league is coached by Welshpool’s Chris Roberts.

Many of the under 16s age grade players will now progress to senior football next season.
Lewis said: “The lads represented the North Powys Junior Football League (NPJFL ) and showed exceptional behaviour on and off the pitch. They were a real credit to the league
“This is a call to all clubs and communities get your teams ready for the 2023/2024 season.”
