Welshpool Music Festival is set to return this year with organisers already filling most of the slots.

The festival which has not taken place for several years is set to return with acts already signing up to take part with organisers saying that the timeslots for the day are already “almost full”.

Organisers of Welshpool Music Festival said: “Ladies and gentlemen, it gives us great pleasure to let you know that we are back.

“Not only that, there will soon be a massive day of live music to rock this town.

“It’s so exciting and we look forward to seeing you all there for what will surely be an awesome day.”

Organisers also revealed that they have already booked a headline act for Welshpool Music Festival which they have high hopes for.

“It’s always exciting when you book a headline act, especially when you know they will rock the place big time,” they added.

The cricket and rugby club will host a Welshpool Music Festival event from noon until 11pm on Sunday, May 26.

Organisers said: "Its been so frantic behind the scenes getting this event together, very exciting too!

"There will be two stages packed all day with live acoustic and bands which we are sure you are going to love."
