SCOTT Ruscoe believes the TNS dominance of Welsh football will continue following another stroll to the JD Welsh Premier title.
TNS end their campaign at home to Cardiff Metropolitan tonight (Friday) with the title long won.
The Saints chief insisted Connahs Quay Nomads, Bangor City and Bala Town would not mount a sustained challenge in future years.
“We know we’re fitter, stronger and better than every team in the division by a long way,” said Ruscoe. “If any side wants to take top spot they are going to have to make a lot of signings.
“Unless they’re going to really stretch their budget and sign players that even we can’t afford, then I don’t think they’re going to get near us.
“Whether these teams go full-time or not and buy new players, I’m not really interested because we’re going to be doing the same.”
Ruscoe remained confident the Saints squad would be retained and strengthened during the summer.
“Why would our players want to sign for anyone else is the question,” said Ruscoe. “We’re in the Champions League and there would be eyebrows raised if they didn’t want to play at that standard.”
Ruscoe backed his side to end the campaign on a high against the Archers who have struggled since the mid-season split.
However the Saints chief demanded an improvement on last week’s first-half performance against Nomads.
“We were sloppy, mistakes were made and it ran through the team during the first-half but we dominated after the break,” said Ruscoe.
